Editorial control
Editors decide what is reviewed, what the review says, and what it scores. Nobody outside the editorial team sees a review before publication, and no commercial arrangement includes approval rights.
Review units, gifts and travel
Review units are disclosed in the review itself. Gifts that are not review units are declined. We do not accept paid travel to launch events, and we do not accept discounts conditional on coverage.
Links
Product links point at the manufacturer's own page so you can check the current configuration and price at the source. Where a link earns us anything, the page says so plainly and the score is set before any commercial arrangement is considered.
Fairness
When a review makes a serious criticism — a safety concern, a warranty practice we think is misleading — we put it to the manufacturer before publishing and include the response, or note that none was given.
